ECHO

Echo is our weekly time of worship and fellowship. Our hope is that it serves as a time to connect with friends and rest in the Lord for students who live busy lives. This Fall we will be meeting at the Church in the Youth Room from 6-7:30pm.

We will be starting a new series entitled: Mercy Speaks: A study of the gospel of Luke and the Parables. Throughout the Old Testament God's people rejected him despite his calling them to himself through repentance. In light of his people's continued rejection, God went silent for 400 years between the time of the Old Testament and the New Testament. He would eventually shatter that silence by sending his Son Jesus from Heaven to earth to reveal, rather mysteriously at times, the merciful plan of a Father to rescue and redeem his rebellious children. The gospel of Luke records the silence shattering words of Jesus and the good news that the gospel is for all. Out of the silence mercy itself spoke to a people in desperate need of it. Jesus' living words still speak and work to transform hearts and lives today. Our hope this Winter and Spring is take students on a journey discovering the life giving words and works of a merciful Savior who came to set captive hearts free. We want students to understand that the gospel of Luke reveals to a fallen world that mercy lies in abundance for those who acknowledge their need to be saved and believe in the only one who can do so.
